The Municipal Government of Dinalupihan is going to pursue an ambitious project — putting up a septage treatment plant.
Dinalupihan Mayor German “Tong” Santos last week met with Vice Mayor Fer Manalili, Sangguniang Bayan members and Virgilio Manalili, general manager of Dinalupihan Water District (DWD) to discuss the grant of P85 million from the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) for the construction of septage treatment plant.
Vice Mayor Manalili said the water district and the municipal government had already identified a 1,000 square meter lot in Barangay Pagalanggang for the plant that will boost the water supply in the only land-locked town in Bataan. The DWD now has roughly 23,000 household connections from 43 out of 46 barangays. The water firm averages a collection of P5.4 million monthly.
